The Appointment

How It Works.

No surprises — here is exactly how your visit runs, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Skin consultation

We look at your skin as it is right now — hydration, texture, congestion, sensitivity — and confirm the treatment plan before we begin.

  2. 02

    The treatment

Cleanse, exfoliate, treat and hydrate, with the actives and intensity chosen for your skin rather than a fixed routine.

  3. 03

    Aftercare plan

We finish with SPF and walk you through what to use at home, plus when to come back.

Before Your Visit

How To Prepare.

A little preparation makes a real difference to how comfortable your appointment is and how long your results last.

Pause your actives

Stop retinoids, strong acids and prescription topicals for three to five days beforehand so your skin barrier is settled when you arrive.

Come with clean skin

Makeup-free if possible. We will double cleanse regardless, but it gives us a clearer read on your skin from the start.

Time it right

Avoid booking within two weeks of a big event if it is your first time with a new treatment, and steer clear of recent sunburn or fresh tan.

Afterwards

What To Expect,
What To Avoid.

What To Expect

A little reaction afterwards is normal and typically settles within a day or two.

  • Warmth or flushing, particularly after exfoliation
  • Mild tightness or dryness
  • Occasional purging in congested areas
  • Light flaking after a resurfacing treatment

What To Avoid

For 24 to 72 hours afterwards, depending on the treatment, please avoid:

  • Direct sun without SPF
  • Retinoids, acids and scrubs
  • Saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga
  • Makeup for the rest of the day where possible
  • Picking at any flaking skin
Questions

Good
To Know.

Still unsure about something? Ask us before you book — we would much rather answer first.

Ask A Question
How often should I get a facial?

Every four to six weeks suits most people, which roughly matches your skin cell turnover cycle. Congestion or pigmentation concerns may call for a shorter course of more frequent visits first, and we will map that out at your consultation.

Will I be red afterwards?

It depends on the treatment. A hydrating facial usually leaves you glowing and ready for the rest of your day. Anything involving resurfacing or needling can leave flushing for a few hours to a day, so plan accordingly if you have something on.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

We recommend leaving skin bare for the rest of the day so it can settle, and using SPF the following morning without fail.

I have sensitive skin — is a facial still for me?

Yes. Sensitivity changes which treatment we choose and how far we take it, not whether you can have one. Tell us about your triggers at consultation and we will build around them.

Should I mention medications or conditions?

Always. Isotretinoin, certain antibiotics, recent cosmetic injectables, pregnancy, active eczema or rosacea and a history of cold sores all affect what is appropriate. We will ask, but please volunteer anything you are unsure about.

When will I see results?

Hydration and glow are usually visible immediately. Tone, texture and pigmentation shift gradually — expect to need a course of treatments spaced a few weeks apart rather than a single visit.
